Instructor: Kabamba

T,Th 1 – 2:30

3 credits

Prerequisites: This course is suitable for senior-level students and graduate students majoring in any area of engineering or science.  Although the course has no specific prerequisites, some prior facility with Matlab is recommended.  Register as Aero 740 Section 001.

Data is the link between theory (models) and the real world (physics and hardware). The objective of this course is to develop skills for using data to estimate physical parameters and construct empirical models.  This course is method-oriented rather than theory-oriented, and will cover a broad range of topics and algorithms, which you will learn to use and apply.  Extensive use will be made of Matlab routines with applications to engineering and scientific problems.
