What is the Bioinformatics Journal Club?

Bioinformatics Journal Club entails a weekly discussion of current and classic papers concerning biology on a whole-genome scale, or using genome sequence based approaches. It is a great opportunity for students/ researchers to be exposed to current topics of Bioinformatics. Although the presentations are on a volunteer basis, participants are encouraged to present.  Each week's paper is chosen by the presenter a week in advance.

Who Can Join?

Anyone interested in Bioinformatics and its current applications to the life sciences is welcome to participate in the Journal Club. We especially urge the students in the Bioinformatics program to participate.

Students can enroll in Bioinformatics Journal Club (BI 602) for one credit. Attendance and presentation are mandatory for BI 602 students.
