Education:

  1. B.S., University of Michigan (Mathematics)

Biography:

Broadly, my research has been focused on coalescent models of genealogies, phylogenetics, human variation, and evolutionary history. I have participated in large scale genetic structure analyses of worldwide human population and written tools for the analysis of private alleles in populations.  Presently, I am modeling the evolution of private microsatellites in order to understand their tendency to be found in the tails of the allele size distribution more often than by chance.
